I am trying to get some large files from my iBook to my powerbook...but I have no firewire to use target mode. Could I network the two with a network cable only? If so, how would I go about that. I tried it...and it seemed to acknowledge the two comkputers, but I couldn't get to any files. Any suggestions, pointers, general knowledge would be appreciated. THANKS in advance!

Dan

Try searching the forums a bit. This has been covered many times. You probably should search for something like "file share ethernet". I will give you the hint that unless your PowerBook has gigabit ethernet, you will need a hub/router/switch or a crossover cable.
