I recently bought a PC (933mHz, 46 Gig, 256 mb, Windows 2000) and added a D-Link 520 wifi card, which states that it is 802.11b reverse capable. Their website even has instructions for Mac OS X, and use with an Airport, but nothing that supports Windows connecting to the Airport. I own an Airport Extreme Basestation.
Current settings are Infrastructure, and I turned WEP off. I've tried setting the gateway to the Airport's allocated IP (192.168.1.1), tried with both DNS servers specified and not specified, and tried specifing the PC's IP address (192.168.1.2).
The D-Link proprietary software shows the Airport network, signal strength, etc, and does connect (would only connect as Infrastructure vs. Ad-Hoc once I disabled WEP), but I cannot resolve DNS to save my life. I also can't ping other devices on the network. I've been through all the help files, and I'm completely at a loss. D-Link's tech support is a joke, as usual. I do know the airport itself is working because my iBook with Airport card is working just fine.
Do you have any ideas? Any familiarity? I appreciate any ideas you can throw my way!
Thanks!
