I know, people, I know, this is being discussed in a few other posts, but I am either a little slow on the uptake, or just plain in denial. I have a pumped up Cube running OS X.2.8 with an airport card, my wife has a brand new HP laptop running XP home (blech!) with built in 802.11g, and these are networked (wirelessly) via a Linksys WRT54G, and I want to add wireless printing to the network. I have an Epson C80 currently.

I have read that I need a postscript printer to print via IP and my Mac. I have read the manuals from the various print servers out there, and It says I need to print via Appletalk! What?!

What I need to know is, can I use this (C80) printer with, say a D-link DP-311u print server? Can I print via IP and not Appletalk?
Do I have to buy an expensive postscript printer just to do this? Does anyone know of any postscript emulators out there that I can use?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Somewhere out there is my sanity..... but I'm not looking for it!

You should be able to print via IP using OS X to a non-postscript printer through a printer server as long as there are unix GIMP drivers for the printer. OS X has a lot of these built-in. See for instance This thread
