I have a problem that I can't find any info on, either in here or on Apple's website. Tonight, my Airport suddenly stopped working. I have the snow base station (not extreme) I lost all connection to my base station. When I looked at the Base Station, the middle light was solid & the right (as you look at it) was blinking rapidly. In trying to fix things, I hit the reset button & everything started to work ok. I got a full signal from my ibook & went into the Airport Setup assistant. I reset everything back to what I had before & hit the reset button & then I lost my signal again. After a few tries at this, I have figured out that as long as I don't enable WEP, my connection is fine. As soon as I enable WEP, I lose my connection & the middle light on the Base Station stays solid, while the right light blinks rapidly. Any advice?

Your snow (dual-ethernet) base station LEDs sound normal ( KBase ). The center light should be on solid. The right light blinks to indicate communication with the cable/DSL modem. The left light blinks for wireless communication.

After you enable WEP, you should lose your connection. Your iBook should then prompt you for the WEP password to join the (now password-protected) wireless network.

Open Internet Connect, set "Configuration:" to Airport and see if the name of your base station appears in the "Network:" pull-down.

Wierd! Thanks, that was the problem. I hadn't changed anything in the airport since I set it up in October. I guess something must have reset itself. Thanks for the heads up! Everything works great now.
