Hello
I noticed on my computer that I can connect to the Internet and Intranet (work) and my email then all of a sudden the connection will drop and then come back after a few mins....
I am kinda iffy on the NIC so I ordered a new one....so you think it could be that?

Thanks

Aside from not connecting to pages or shares, what indication do you have that you have lost your connection? It's possible that a lot of different things are going on, but the indication you get will help figure out which one.

I get an error stating my exchange server is unavailable and if I am in the middle of trying to bring up a page it will either come up with a page erro, Cannot be displayed or what not or it will just freeze on the exhcnage popup

You have one of two issues going on. Either the Exchange Server is actually very intermittent (or very slow to react), or your network settings for contacting the Exchange Server are not correct.

If the server is the problem, your computer basically sits there waiting for a reply from the server, but it won't get one until the server gets around to it. This sort of locks up your network card, and prevents you from doing anything else with it.

If it's your settings, the effect is the same, but it's because your card is trying to contact the server incorrectly.

Double and tripple-check your settings for your Exchange Server and see if there might be some new change that you haven't made yet. This happens a lot when network admins update their Server software but don't tell the users what's happening. Bad netadmin! No pizza!

I know it is none of that...
I am with a LARGE company and any changes with our servers would be through SPOC and they always let us know....
I checked the settings and they are fine too...

Im hoping this NIC change will help
