I have a MAC that i just got for school. I do art history. my tutor says i need to download the dhcp server from the internt in order to get my email and access my internet.
how do i do this? what is dhcp? why does the setting need to be copied to my "ethernet"? thax
Contact your school's IT folks for the required settings. They should be able to walk you through what you need to do. If they "don't support Macs," just get the settings and let us know, and we'll walk you through it.
You certainly don't have to download any software for DHCP functionality. Except if you want to set up a DHCP server (but I doubt that). Just get the information for Windows machines first and post a linky to them.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
