Hi !
I need to connect from home to my office Windows2000 VPN server, so I can use my office resources.
I was able to do so in Panther, using Internet Connection, but after 10.3.1 and 10.3.2 I can't do it anymore.
I set up my PPTP Connection, but it says :

Thu Jan 22 19:19:09 2004 : PPTP connecting to server 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)...
Thu Jan 22 19:19:10 2004 : PPTP connection established.
Thu Jan 22 19:19:10 2004 : Using interface ppp0
Thu Jan 22 19:19:10 2004 : Connect: ppp0 <--> socket[34:17]
Thu Jan 22 19:19:40 2004 : LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
Thu Jan 22 19:19:40 2004 : Connection terminated.
Thu Jan 22 19:19:40 2004 : PPTP disconnecting...
Thu Jan 22 19:19:40 2004 : PPTP disconnected

every time i try to connect!

Do you know what I can do?!?

You probably have the same problem that I have had in my university: Win 2k usually uses another handshake to transmit user name and password (CHAP, I believe). OS X doesn't support it on the GUI level, but there are two alternatives:

1. VPNTracker (you have to pay for it, but it's with GUI), www.vpntracker.com

2. command line pptp client (that's what I did cause I didn't feel like spending money).

VPNTracker itself uses opensource stuff, too, but it gives you a nice GUI.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thanks, but i've tried VPN Tracker (but to be honest, i didn't find a way to use Username and Password for authentication... shame on me). I've also tried PpTPGui, and another one, with no luck!
How can i use the command line pptp client?
