Here's my situation.

I have a relatively big area I want to cover with airport.

On one end of the area I have an extreme base station connected to a DSL modem. Several computers connect via this base station.

But this base station doesn't cover the whole area I need covered.

I have an old graphite base station that's sitting around gathering dust.

Can someone give me a step by step idiots guide to setting this base station up to extend the range of the coverage I have.

I tried following the Apple instructions, but the graphite station doesn't support WDS.

Is there a work around?

Is running a wire (Ethernet cable) to the 2nd WiFi access point an option?

running a wire might be possible but it would be difficult and would mean that the base stations would be closer together... but I could do it if this is the only option.
