I'm looking for a 802.11g wireless router with a built-in (parallel port) print server that will be driven by Mac-compatible software and will work with my HP LaserJet 6MP.

My search has grown frustrating. Any insights or suggestions?

Take a look at this thread. I mention several wireless routers with print servers in my reply.

Since you're using a 6MP (which I have as well), I'd HIGHLY recommend an AsanteTalk instead of a built-in print server. These things are great, they even bridge AppleTalk. You could connect this to any router/switch/hub.

If you go the AsanteTalk route, though, you have to make sure both your wireless router and your wireless cards support AppleTalk wirelessly. Not all do.

One possibility which might work and is cheap is the SMC 7004AWBR. I am using it to print wireless from an iBook to an Epson 740.

Well, I already have an older JetDirect Print Server that works fine via IP Printing. I attach it's parallel port to the 6MP and then connect a Cat-5 cable to my network hub, and that's all: the printer then works with my wife's accursed PC, my son's PowerMac, and my PowerBook.
