so i have my mac os x 10.3.2 hooked up on the network to my pc running xp. when i went into the network, i used to see a folder labeled workgroup (which is the workgroup that the pc and mac are on). i would go into the folder and there would be the mac and the pc, and everything would be fine. well, suddenly there was no more workgroup folder. the computers are all listed in the main menu of the network. and, when i tried to access the pc, it would list many folders of which i had turned sharing off of from the pc and not list ones which i had turned on- as if it wasn't refreshing. is there some sort of refresh button?
even further- something that just happened. usually you can use the "go" toolbar and go to the network, but suddenly it's all faded out. but yet when i open the finder, i can go to the network on the sidebar, open up the pc folder, and i can access a folder with all its contents. however, i can only open up one folder, other folders aren't even listed which should be or are but when you open them there is nothing in them (and there should be).
grrr, i hate networking with this thing. does anyone have a clue how to help me?
