MY iMac which has an airport card in it keeps disconnecting from ym home network...now its strange because usually it shows that it is connected, i have 2-3 bar but I do not get an IP address for the iMac, and in network prefs it says that its connected to airport but not the internet, but all my other computers can connect to the internet. Usually the onyl way to correct this problem is to run airport setup assistant...ya...real weird.

i'm also getting incredibly slow speeds all of a sudden IF Interface Robustness isn't turned on...but the problem of lack of internet happens with AND with out Interface Robust turned on.
ANy ideas?

Airport base--)connects to
2 Macs running 802.11b
1 mac running 802.11g
1 PC running 802.11b

some airport info,,,,
channel 11
Station Density Medium
Multicast Rate 2
WEP not enabled.
Distribute IP address is OFF (so it is a bridge)

I'm getting the same type of problems, all of a sudden. To fix it, I've just been restarting both the Airport Extreme and the DSL modem, it's weird.

I just started getting this as well from my Netgear MR814v2 802.11b router. I have an older iBook and 2 new PBs. The iBook connects and stays connected all the time. The PBs (with AE cards) can connect briefly, but then lose their IP mysteriously. I have a good-great signal and it shows me as connected to my network in the Airport menu item, but I keep getting a self-assigned IP after a minute or 2.
Both PBs do this and both can connect fine to my G5, if I enable Internet sharing there. And it can't be the router, cuz like I say, the iBook stays on perfectly. This has to be an Apple update thing... Maybe from one of the security updates (I specifically DID NOT install the latest Airport update on one PB to try troubleshooting this issue)?
