I can't get my Epson 820 Printer work with my Airport Extreme Base station. Everything looks fine to me but it's not working. It says something with connection error being wireless to Printer by using Airport.

I've checked this site: http://www.apple.com/airport/printcompatibility.html
and it says Epson 820 (Requires AirPort Extreme Firmware 5.0.4) While I checked my Airport Admin Utlity and I see Firmware version 5.3 on it. how am I supposed to get back to 5.0.4 to have my printer work? or isn't there another way?

Am I missing something here?? I'm new with Airport here.
Thanks!

Assuming your printer is connected via USB to your base station.

Launch the Print Setup Utility. From Preferences, select Setup Printers…. Click on the Add icon, from the top of the sheet that drops down, select Rendezvous. After a few seconds you should see your printer. Select and you are set to print.

BTW, make sure your printer is on- and to be sure that the drivers are on your machine, you can set it up first connected via USB to your Mac.

My printer has STOPPED working via rendezvous. When I try to add the printer, the beachball spins, looking for drivers, but cannot find anything and my printer (which worked flawlessly until yesterday) is not found on the list.

I'm wondering if it's a corrupted file -- am thinking of tossing same, just to see what happens -- or if I should reinstall the drivers. I'm running Panther. And as I said, it all worked before...
