NTT [ Nippon Telephone and Telegraph ] has a deal going now in Osaka. Fiber optic connection at 100Mbps for about $40 a month. We'll probably switch from Yahoo Broadband DSL.

We are using a 17 inch Powerbook and an older 15 inch Titanium Powerbook both running Panther. Any problem to handle this much bandwidth ?

Lucky guy! No problems that I can see with the 17" PB (which should have a gigabit network card), and probably no problems with the TiBook either.

100Mbps is the "gross" data rate. There will be some overhead (probably not much), but your "net" rate should be pretty stinkin' fast!
