Still on OS9.
Trying to get my G4 350, to network with my iBook G3 266. Want to share files from my G4 over to my iBook

Using an ethernet crossover cable.

Was able to set it up first time. Started copying files from one of the disks on the G4. While I was copying the files, I tried to give copy permission for another disk to be accessible. My G4 froze up so I restarted.

Since then, I have been trying for about 2 hours to get File Sharing to turn on. The G4 will not turn on. It tries to start up but never gets there.

Tried trashing preferences, etc. But no luck.

Any suggestions. (please dont suggest getting rid of these antiques
