OK, I was really hoping I'd find my answers by Googling, but no luck. Can someone help?

//BACKGROUND
Linksys Wireless/Router
Mac G4 Sawtooth connected to router via ethernet cable (not wireless)
Earthlink DSL

//STORY
I just upgraded to Panther and ever since, my connection seems to drop randomly. I can expect this to happen about twice/day. If I leave my mac alone for a long period of time (hours), I now assume I've already lost the connection.

To put a band aid on the problem, I just Renew DHCP Lease, and everything is back to normal for the time being. I don't want to keep doing this.

On Jaguar, this was never a problem. Does Panther do something differently with DCHP?

On a side note (perhaps related), my wireless connections are even more inconsistent, but I think that's due to frequency conflicts with my new Panasonic 2.4 GHz phone.

Help? Can anyone at least tell me if I should be focussing more on the mac or the router?

thanks! -Mike

Try increasing the DHCP lease setting in your router.

Try upgrading the firmware on your router. I don't think this is a Mac thing.
