Sorry if this has been asked before; I did a search first using various word combinations, but didn't come up with any matches of what I'm looking for..

can anyone describe how to include a windows xp box with an existing Panther ethernet networkd?

I followed this tutorial (http://macs.about.com/cs/tipstutoria...m?PM=ss14_macs) but neither macs nor PC will see each other. The XP box says "no results" when I do the search for other computers.

All macs and the xp box are plugged into a DLink 5-port switch, and all nodes' lights are on, and I know that the switch works, as it's almost constantly busy doing network rendering, and handling the dsl modem, too.

appreciate any tips!

Try the links in the sidebar at http://www.joelshoemaker.com.

You should also download and install a freeware program on the Mac called Sharepoints.
