Is there any way to go to a windows machine, type in a URL and get a java version of my screen at home and control it? I have a couple friends who do this with their Windows computers though VNC, but I don't think macs have a java client. Any ideas?

Thanks!

It is just like the windows version: you install VNC (server) on your mac, and then put the JavaClient on your webserver with the proper pointers. This is even mentioned in the OSXvnc FAQ. VNC is VNC, Java is Java.

I've done it... back on 10.1 I think. It really is nifty, though slow over ADSL with a 128kbps upload.

I have the same setup, although starting with Jaguar OSXVnc no longer started up automatically during boot time. On Linux/Windows, I prefer using TightVNC -- much faster on slower links.
