Last Friday our Sonicwall died. It turned out to be the power supply and I am waiting the return of the warrantied item. I temporarily replaced the Sonicwall with the only thing I could find a Dlink 10/100 router/firewall. Very few of our PC users surf the 'net .... most of our internet traffic is 10 Mac Users all with gigabit cards. The macs continually drop internet connection (T1) every few minutes. I have noticed a few connection problems with the pc but not to the extent of the macs. Unplugging the RJ45 and plugging it back in will bring the connection back up. I have tried dropping the connection from Automatic to 10baseT and my powerbook stayed on for 25 minutes then it started all over again. I realize the problem will be solved when the Sonicwall returns (I am assuming) but it has become a thorn in my side and puzzle I must solve. I went to all macs on the network running panther and made the same adjustment. However, three macs are still running 10.2.8 and I see no where to make this change. Are there other services I need to shut off to minimize network traffic?
I would appreciate any help into this mystery. If it just an overwhelmed router I can live with that until the Sonicwall is back up.

PS: It is not the sasser worm running amok ...we were already patched.
