my girlfriend has an Ibm Thinkpad currently running windows 98, i have a mac g4 running os 10.3.... it would be nice for her to have wireless hookup runnin and maybe i could just be hardpatched into some sort of router / wirless router? is that possible? I know linksys sucks... but does anyone know about netgear for this instance?

To "know liksys sucks..." is to know nothing about networking. Each brand has its own strengths and weaknesses. Research (that is, SEARCH this and other networking-related forums) and decide, but don't be swayed by so called "common knowledge;" it is neither really common, nor very knowledgable.
