I'm at home with my brother and parents, I have my G4 867, the other PC's are a Windows XP P4 with built in 54mb wireless, a Windows XP Athlon computer and a Windows 98 P3. The broadband connection would be with BT, and they sell a router called Voyager 2000, but only sell USB wireless points, not PCI cards (to keep things simple for people, I suppose). I've done a search on these forums and found good things about the Belkin F5D7000 wireless card (it works with the Mac, for starters). So to keep everything straightforward, I looked around for a Belkin wireless router and found the F5D7630 wireless router/modem. So the setup I have in mind is the F5D7000 router/modem with F5D7000 PCI cards for my G4 and the P3 and Athlon PC's.

Is there anything very very wrong with this setup (anyone had problems with Belkin?) or is this a good setup to fit in, or are there any other suggestions...

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.

You can get an Airport card for your G4. Granted it would be the older Airport 802.11b 11mbps but it would work. Unless you need 802.11g 54mbps for file transfering then I would say get an airport card for your G4. It's easy to install and easy to setup. You can still find the older Airport cards for sale at Apple's online store http://www.apple.com/store for $79.

The Belkin 54g PCI card you mentioned will work just as easily as AirPort (I have one myself). In fact, it gets recognized just as if it were an AirPort Extreme Card. So, contrariwise (and with all due respect), my advice would be to go ahead and get the Belkin.
