Hello,
NOTE: every computer here is running OS 9.2.2
I have a Linksys 802.11b 4-port cable/dsl router hooked up to my cable modem, I have 2 macs connected via ethernet and one printer connected via ethernet, I can print and file share with the 2 wired macs
I have a wallstreet powerbook with a cisco aironet card that is setup DCHP and can connect to the internet just fine (I have WEP security on)
I have the appletalk control pannel set to the wireless card.
I can see the printer but no communication is possible?
I have a shared USB printer on one of the wired macs, I can add it on the Powerbook it sees it is there, but it also will not send data to it
I cannot see anyone in the chooser under appleshare but i can connect to the wired computer using 192.168.254.101 etc... and the drive mounts and I can copy fine.
anyone have any suggestions on what would be causing me not to see the shared computers in appleshare? any Ideas on why my printers don't communicate although they show up?
thanks so much in advance!

The Linksys router (and most other non-apple wireless routers) do not support AppleTalk on the wireless side. You are going to have to do your wireless file sharing and printing using TCP/IP instead of Appletalk, if your hardware and software support that.

If the Cisco card is 802.11b, it should work.
You may also want to check out Asante's line of wireless routers, as they do support AT over wireless. Or just try setting up everything over TPC/IP, which could be fairly simple.

I got the sharing to work over tcp/ip, just a check box "allow clients to connect over tcp/ip" and i can connect to shared drives, I have no idea about the printers in OS 9? how does that work? any ideas?

If the printer is a USB printer, I don't think you can share it using TCP/IP in OS 9.
If the printer is connected by ethernet, you should be able to print to it wirelessly using LPR printing. There are instruction in the Apple Knowledge Base as to how to set up LPR printing. Do a search for "LPR" in the KB. (I would give you a link, but the KB search function seems to be down at the moment).
You can print using LPR using the LaserWriter 8 driver to most postscript ethernet printers, even non-Apple ones. You may need something called a PPD file, but if you don't have one already, you can probably find one on your printer manufacturer's web site.
Here are some instructions you might find useful:

By the way, what brand and model printer do you have?
