I currently have a Macsense XRouter MIH 120.
I stopped being able to send e-mail but could receive it. Bypassing router solved the problem. Contacted Macsense. Told me to upgrade the firmware (difficult to deal with tech support). Now can't access anything. Can't access internet at all!!
Still waiting for answer back from Macsense but thinking I might just want to get a new router rather than deal with these guys.
My house is ethernet wired so I don't need a wireless router unless it can handle wired connections as well.
I am looking for something easy to set up as well.

Thanks

Nowadays it really doesn't matter what brand you go with unless you depend on AppleTalk, since it isn't necessarily supported by many manufacturers-it isn't part of the IEEE networking standards, so it usually isn't a priority for the manufacturers. Needing AppleTalk makes your choice a big challenge, rather than a simple task.

All the brands I know of use a browser interface to configure their routers' features. I'd go with an inexpensive choice, such as a Siemens or Netgear, and go with a 4-port model to start with. With a little shopping, you should be able to find a satisfactory router for $40 or less.

I've had bad luck with Netgear's wireless gear.

I've been MUCH more pleased with my D-Link, which was just $10 more expensive than the Netgear.
