Hi, I have an Airport network and one of the computers shares the Airport internet with another computer over Ethernet. Now I would like to access from one of my Airport computers directly on the off-airport computer. Is there any solution for this?

Ok let me get this right. You got a computer using Airport sharing it's internet connection via ethernet to another computer. Now you want to access that computer that is getting it's internet connection from your airport computer from another computer that is using airport. Is that right?

You should be able to see your other computers with no problems. If you can't see them them try turing file sharing on and see if that works. You can check to see if you can see your computers in the Network Browser or by choosing Go in the Finder and then Network.

Ah, well the details I missing i fear. The computer i want to access is a PC. And i want to access it using remote desktop (by microsoft). This lil app needs an IP however and the IP of the PC is not in the Airport network, or is it?

If you have a wireless network card or USB adapter for the PC then it's connected to the airport network. If not you can setup one of your Mac's to share its internet connection from Airport to the PC via ethernet. Then you can find the IP address of your PC by runinng the Command Prompt window. Click Start, then Run, then type in CMD and hit enter that will bring up the Command Prompt window. Then you can type ipconfig and that will give you your IP address for your PC. Then you can connect to your PC using that IP address from your Mac with Microsoft's Remote Desktop application. Since all your computers will be on the same subnet mask for your network putting in the IP for the PC should work just fine.
Note that you need one of these Microsoft Operating Systems for the Remote Desktop program to work:
Windows XP Professional
Windows Server 2003
Windows 2000 Server
Windows 2000 Advanced Server
Windows 2000 Datacenter Server
Windows NTŪ Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition

The Remote Desktop does work with the Mac the PC is connected to. However it does not work with a different Mac on the network. Is there anything I can do about it? They do all have the same subnet mask.
EDIT: The PC seems to be able to access the Mac on the Airport network. Weird.

I think it has to do with how the internet sharing it working that only that Mac sharing the internet can see the PC.

The question is: can it be fixed or edited?

I'm not sure it can. The only way I can think of is to get your PC on the Airport network by itself with no sharing internet connections. You'll get a PCI or USB 802.11b adapter for your PC.
