I have an XServe running OS X Server 10.3.4 with two ethernet cards, one with a "real" IP address hooked to my ISP's internet gateway, the other card serves my LAN running a 10.6.18.xx set of addresses.
The XServe's address is 10.6.18.201. There is a PowerBook on the LAN assigned address 10.6.18.4. We would like to use a videoconferencing application that utilizes ports 2000-2002.
Does someone know precisely how to configure the XServe so that port 2000 to 2004 traffic to the "real" IP address of the XServe gets forwarded to the PowerBook at 10.6.18.4? The firewall is enabled on the XServe, otherwise NAT doesn't run.
I know little to nothing about network configuration at the UNIX level. I try to do all my system admin work using the Apple provided applications such as SERVER ADMIN. After pouring through the bulletin boards and the Apple support web site, I can't find a posting with enough detail for a non-terminal guy like me to make it through doing this configuration. I'm not afraid of going into terminal mode to do this configuration, I just need a lot of detail if I go that route due to my lack of experience in this area.
My guess is that lots of people have done port forwarding on the XServe. If someone could share the detials, it would be deeply appreciated. A way to do this with SERVER ADMIN would be great, otherwise the details using terminal mode would be most welcome.
Thanks for any help
