Was wondering if anyone was using the MacWireless.com Powerline Network Adapters with their PowerBooks.
I just bought two to use with my G4 AlBook running OSX 10.3.4. I have Airport Extreme which only gives me reception out to about 3 feet! My house is made of cinderblock and cement, so nothing can penetrate.
So I bought the MacWireless adapters figuring it should work. No such luck. I plugged them in when they arrived and they worked flawlessly in all my outlest, even out in the backyard. Then the next day, I fired up the PowerBook and plugged in the MacWireless again and nothing. No signal, nothing. Do these things just suck, or did I just get two bum units? I guess it's possible they fried themselves.
Anyone have any solutions? I'm running them through an Asante FriendlyNet router from my wife's PC running Windows XP. The router works fine with an Ethernet cable and unplugged with AirPort (except for the signal range, which sucks). So I know all the other hardware is working.
