I have an iBook and 2 windows laptops set up to my airport extreme base station. There is a printer set up to the base station and the iBook prints to it fine (of course). However the stupid PC's have never worked with the printer, and I tried setting them up for it, but it didn't work.
Then apple released the rendevous for windows thing and i was so happy, i downloaded it, but it didn't find any rendevous printer in the windows set up printer thing. Anyone know how to do it via rendevous, or just how to share the printer from my mac. I just need some way to print from the windows laptops.
Thanks

I have no idea what goes wrong with your setup.
I just installed Rendezvous it on my XP machine.
I hope that printing will work for me. We'll see...

Please let me know if it does work for you. The rendevous on windows just doesn't pick up anything. On my iBook I have printer sharing and windows sharing on, but I'm not sure if that even helps because I think the windows machine is just trying to get it on the network, not from my mac.
ANY tips from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE
It turns out it only didn't work for windows xp home edition. The xp professional set up fine and it works perfectly. So now, if anyone knows what to do for the home edition, please let me know.

Well, I got XP Pro, and it didn't work for me.
I could neither find my iBook, nor the printer connected to it.
Of course, by entering my iBooks's IP address manually, I can connect.
Rendezvous won't find my printer though.
I don't get it.
What the heck is rendezvous supposed to do then ?
Does it have to be explicetly build in into the software ?

Hmmm....Since you have pro, it should be working because that worked first time for me. I was talking to someone else about this also, and they were saying that it makes sense for pro to work and not home edition because pro is much better equipped for networking. However, since you have pro and its not working that seems odd.
What is your set-up like? Maybe we could figure it out and then it oculd work for the home edition too.

You know, I'm not worried about it.
Right now, I don't have time to fool around with that.
I got my printer working with CUPS on my iBook, manually set up a printer in XP with the CUPS IP address. It works in b/w, that's good enough for me.
