taget disk mode with ethernet cable?

I while ago I was at Apple palo alto and I thinkk they told me there was a way to connect two macs with an ethernet cable into target disk mode. the target comp was started second and you held down TWO keys on it for this to work.

anybody knnow about this?

I think someone was confused. I have never head about target mode with anything but FireWire and SCSI.

Since both of those are used only with at most a handful of computers at a time (usually only one), they make sense for target mode, ethernet does not.

Someone could prove me wrong, but the chances are small.
