Im helping a friend. ido not myself have a powerbook with an airport card.

but, with reference to the various home made "can" antennas, can you attachem them to a 15" powerbook with an airport card, or only to a base station?

I tried to search for this info and found nothing. the pictures on the web seem to attach a can antenna to a PC card.

any ideas?

I put an empty soda can on the front right edge of the powerbook and my signal goes up 1 bar in the menubar reading. I just had to make sure the can was always touching the metal of the powerbook in that corner. So basically, try just attaching your antenna to that corner and see if it does anything

You'd have to attach the antenna pigtail to the antenna connector on your airport extreme card, which is buried inside your computer.
