This is a weird one... I've got a wired router (Linksys BEFSR81) connected to my cable modem and G4 tower, and it all works great. As soon as I turn on and plug in my Wireless Access Point (Linksys WAP54G), my network slows down considerably. Then, get this, when I go to my wired router config (192.168.1.1 for me) I get the configuration page for my neighbor's WRT54G router, which has the same IP in their home. I'm well aware that both should be able to co-exist, but why am I seeing their router setup at all? It's like the instant my WAP54G is up, it replaces my wired router with theirs... because when it's running, my external IP becomes what theirs is. It's as if the WAP is directing all my traffic through theirs. What on earth is going on here?
