Why did Apple move away from their airport card so fast? I need to find another online retailer that sells one. Any suggestions for quality companies?

Hi, last week I was where you are right now...trying to find an old 802.11B airport card...they seem to be pretty scare at the moment as far as retailers go. The online stores are mostly out, but a few will have them for $89. Your best bet is probably eBay, there are a lot floating around there. I think the lowest I've seen them go for is $60, but some crazy auction last week ended at $245...

Be sure to check your local Apple Store. I found a stack of AirPort 802.11b cards in stock at my local Georgia Apple Store.

I've seen older Airport cards at the Apple Stores and CompUSA. Have you check there?
