Hi everyone,

I'm trying to play a video game with my brother wirelessly using our Airport cards on our laptops. In order to do so, we're trying to create a computer-to-computer network via Airport. However, when either of us selects "Create network...", names the network, and hits "OK," nothing happens. The person who made the network just gets a "no signal" Airport icon in the menu, and the person trying to join the network doesn't see anything.

We both are running Powerbooks with 10.3.4, and our laptops can talk to our wireless hub (for internet) just fine. But we want to be able to play together without the hub.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Do you have:

Using DHCP activated?

Under by default, join: set to Automatic?

After creating the network on one computer, the other people have to select that network before they can use it.

OK this is weird - I tried creating the network from a different place, and it worked! Perhaps the "Create network..." command doesn't like being around two Airport base stations?

Very weird.
