Thhis may belong in OS X forum but thought it wa more realted to networking.
Anyway; At my job we have a G5 running 10.3.4 which I connected to the "My Documents" folder on a Win2k box at work then dragged one of the folders in it ("customers") to the side bar. If the My Documents folder is disconnected and I click on the "customers" folder in the side bar the My Documents folder automatically mounts itself. (Password is stored in keychain).
At home I am on a TiBook running 10.3.4 and have a G4 DP450 also 10.3.4 that I'm running headless. anyway I connected to that and did basically the same thing dragging one of the folders from one of the drives to the side bar. But when if the server is diconnected and I click on the folder in the side bar it tells me "original item cannot be found"
Am I able to do this at work because of the fact that its connected to a windows machine or is there just something I'm not selecting as far as how sharing is set up on the DP450 when connected?
