Hey

I'm having a few problems getting my Powerbook and my girlfriend's PC networked. I'm using 10.3.4 and she's on XP. We 're bot connected to the internet by my Airport.

I've switched on personal filesharing on the Mac but I'm stuck as to what to do next. Can someone do me an idiots guide as to how I can get both computers connected? I'm useless with PC's and I can't figure it out.

Thanks very much.

Yeh, did that. Doesn't work. I HATE PC's. Really I do. I've spent hours this morning trying to get it to do the most simple tasks. Wanna play a DVD on it? Yeh well buy a codec for $30. WHAT? I mean, I just bought this thing. Why should I pay for a codec that should already be on there. Grrr.

Is it WinXP or WinXPPro? Might not be able to do it with WinXP. Check this site out:

Mac PC Filesharing

I have it working on my set up. Just enabled Windows File Sharing on the mac, then added the connection in "My Network Places" on the PC. I have WinXPPro btw....

I was able to mount the pc on the mac by doing cmd-k, and selecting it from the list.

**Important: you must add a "share" on the PC first, or nothing will work. Select your users home folder, right click, then sharing.**
