smb server won't mount from Dock?

I'm trying to get our SMB server to be mountable from the Dock. I can mount it fine from the "connect to server" command, but when I put that mounted folder in the dock (drag and drop) and reboot, all I get is a question mark. Other PC's on the network work when I drag them to the DOCK.
