I read recently (I can't remember where) that someone had found that an Intel Pro 100 network card would work in a Mac. It happens that I had just that card that I'd taken out of an old PC, and when I stuck it into my MDD G4, it works great.

But I can't figure out how it should be configured. Should the Intel card have a different IP address than the internal Gigabit interface? I intend to have a Gigabit connection to a nearby PC, and to use the Intel 100 to connect to a Netgear wireless router. I've gotten the Intel card to work with the router, but am having trouble connecting to the PC over the internal Gigabit interface. I've tried using the same IP address and also using a different address, but neither way works.

Thanks,
Pat
