I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but here goes....

I'm trying to watch streaming videos from mlsnet.com. You can try yourself by going to the site, clicking on the Sights and Sounds section, and choosing one of the games. Note that they only accept IE for the Mac, so you'll have to spoof the identifier if you want to use another browser.

My goal is to view the streams, either Windows or Real, in the Real Player or WMP applications rather than in the web browser. This will, hopefully, allow for me to scrub on a timeline (there are no controls in the web version, not even play/pause!), run fullscreen (without screen zoom), and hopefully get smoother playback.

Normally one could just view the source of the page, find the URL to the video stream, and open that in the external application. But this page is a mess of frames and javascript, with javascript actually building the html that provides the URL stream.

I can find no way to determine the URL of the video stream. I've searched through Safari's network activity log, tried Firefox's page info and DOM view, and even installed etherreal (which I am not adept at using). I'm now at a dead end and pretty frustrated.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

If it's a Real stream, can't you simply right-click on the embedded video and select the menu option to display the video in the external Real Player?

Thanks for the reply. It appears that, although they offer the option of Real, none of the content is actually encoded with it. So basically everything is WMP. And right-clicking on the content does nothing.
