i live in downtown manhattan...lots of wireless networks around.
at home, i sometimes see 2 or 3 others.

i'm connected to an airport express, which is in turn wired to a dlink router.

periodically, my connection to the aE vanishes (and disappears from the airport list).

this SEEMS to happen when a commercial network shows up (this happens every day).

is it even possible that they are causing the problem? deliberately? as in, "you should subscribe to our network"??

or am i being paranoid...

in which case, why am i losing my connect to an aE that is a few feet from my desk??

tried another channel, went back to "automatic" after that didn't help. but...
will try again (and maybe use "interference robustness"...
