I have a client OS X and I want to set up DNS server on the Mac platform. I'm looking for an easy solution. I don't want to mess with terminal, BIND etc. I need something that is easy to set up, reliable and has a GUI interface. Anything besides QuickDNS? I don't want to spend $500 for one dns zone.

You are right. I want DNS server with graphical user interface. By saying that I don't want to input text I mean I don't want to use terminal to set up and keep it running. I don't know enough about UNIX to do that. I need something simple and easy to set up. Something reliable and stable

If you can't be bothered to learn some basic unix commands and dns administration, then don't run a DNS server. Period.
Give easydns or zoneedit a few dollars and use one of them to handle your DNS.

I'm not saying, that I can't or want to learn anything. What I'm saying is that I'm not a pro. I know only a few Unix commands and don't have time to learn a lot. Since I don't use it on daily basis I will forget it anyway. If I had something with graphical interface I could use it and learn it sooner. I want something that I can install on client OS X Panther machine and don't spend much time to maintenence it later. Set it and forget it.

And I'm saying that based on that you shouldn't be administering a DNS server. If you (or anyone else) wants to put a server on the net, it is your responsibility to administer it. That means keeping it up to date on security patches, and making sure it hasn't been broken in to. If you aren't willing or able to do that, you shouldn't be running a server, of any kind. Do people still do it? Yes. That's the main reason that there are many problems on the internet.
You don't 'set and forget' server applications.
Follow the links I posted. They'll provide what you want, while having someone else administer the DNS server.
