So it seems as though if I'm in another room, my printer won't finish a page, as if the AE signal hiccups, and stops the print.

But if I'm in the same room, the printer prints perfectly.

Is there a solution for this. Is this normal? should I try and re-position my AE in a different position?

Some specifics would help in this. Like, when you say "in the same room," are you talking about being in the same room as the printer or the same room as the AirPort Express? How far away from the AirPort Express are you when you notice the problem? What kind of computer do you have, and what kind of AirPort card does it have? What kind of printer is it?
