hi I am using a dg814 router which has a built in adsl modem and i want to have a wireless network in my house. Can I buy this netgear wg602 wireless access point http://www.dabs.com/uk/channels/hard...quicklinx=2DMH
and plug it into my router and use my airport card to go wireless. i know very little about networking so can someone help me out or suggest a better option

You should be able to. That's exactly what wireless access points are made for ... to be plugged into a wired network and extend it wirelessly.

I have a wired Netgear rp614 router extended by a Netgear wgt624 (which is actually a wireless router, not just an access point) right now. Works fine.
