I really don't understand this - and how to fix it.

The AirportExpress worked fine the first time I installed the CD software and hooked the unit up to my stereo. After applying the AE updater on my G4/733 iBook, OS 10.3.3, I only get an amber light every one second.

Resetting the AE didn't correct the problem.
AE Setup Assistant doesn't see the unit any more and tells me
"No New Airport Express network was found...."

Your help is greatly appreciated. I've lost three nights trying to remedy this situation.
