I hope you guys can help out a newbie to Mac. I have my Mac and the PC in our office networked. I can share files perfectly with it with no problem. I DO have a problem when I try to print from the Mac to the printer hooked up to the PC. It always tells me that NT_ACCESS_DENIED to that printer. What am i doing wrong? The printer is shared and I can see it on the network, I just cant USE it.

Any thoughts?

I have the same problem. I've got a Samsung CLP-500 connected to an XP box over the network. I can see the printer from my eMac (I can even share files with the XP box), but whenver I try to print, I get the same error as you. Will continue searching for an answer...

Do either of you have the correct driver installed on your Mac? Macs are often really picky when you share some printers off a Windows box, or more correctly, the Windows box is picky about sharing with a Mac, if the Mac doesn't have the right driver for the printer.

Samsung printers are kind of on the fringe when it comes to compatibility-not with one particular operating system or another, but because they use their own PCL. My ML-1430 laser printer works fine on my network with Windows machines, but, but I haven't found a real network driver for OS X.3 yet, so it doesn't do everything for my iBook that it will for Windows.
