MSN blocking .mac and Macs?

My father-in-law is at a place where they have MSN dialup.

He's trying to use his Mac with it, but it won't connect even though he has the right credentials.

He dials up on their Windows box to check his .mac email and cannot get through to .mac via MSN and Windows.

Any ideas?

I checked mac.com myself and I guess it was down for a while. He can now get to his email.

However he still can't get MSN dialup to work. Any ideas?
