I live in an apartment complex, where there are about 5 different wireless signals I can pick up with my computer. Every time I open up the lid of my PowerBook after getting home from work, i connect to the wrong network. I created a new network location and set it to connect only to my wireless network, but no change. I still connect to my neighbors network first, which does not even work. :-)

How could I fix this issue, so that I would not have to manually constantly pick the correct wireless network?

Thanks,

t

Bump. It is still happening. The strange thing in this is that on my second computer this does not happen. That one connects to my wireless network all the time.

Check system prefs > Network > Airport > Airport tab and make sure Automatic is selected there.

Bummer. You might want to try creating a new user account on that machine to see if the problem follows.
