Everyone:

I'm looking to buy a cheap, wired network print server (parallel not USB) and just wondered what the general consensus on what the best was? I've got a mixed environment (Mac OS X, Win2k, Linux) and would like to be able to print across the network from all platforms. Also, I'd rather not spend a whole bunch of money - the printer is kinda old (HP DJ 612c), so spending a lot for money on the print server seems silly to me. I'd like to spend ~$50 if possible.

Any brands to look for? To avoid? I'd rather not have to install any client software, just print to the IP/URL. Some that I've seen say that Mac will only support Post Script. Will my HP DJ 612c support PS?

I don't know if this is in your price range, but I have a D-Link DP-300U. I chose this model because it has both USB and parallel ports. So far, it has worked flawlessly.

You should know that, regardless of your print server model, you will need to install Gimp-Print, since I don't believe that HP Deskjets are Postscript printers. There aren't too many (if any) Postscript printers without Ethernet.
