First off, I keep the books balanced... My wife actually writes the checks and gets bills out. I get home from work and she tells me Ginger (our G4 iMac) "won't go online."

I naturally assume something's up with our home network (Motorola SurfBoard cable modem, Linksys wireless router/hub, 2 Macs and a TiVo). All the settings look fine in the Network pref-pane. I unplug everything, then power up in sequence to reset things. Nothin'.

At this point, I can still get into the Linksys router configuration page. I (dumbly) tweak and alter settings. Now not even these pages will load and I've gone from a "green light" to a "yellow light" in the Network Status part of the Network pref-pane. I'm told my Mac "is not connected to the Internet."

Then it turns out my wife failed to pay the bill and Cox cut us off. Damn!

Long story shortened... I just paid the bill online from work. When I get home, how do I reset the router's settings to factory defaults so I can set everything up again? I'm sure things are gonna be f*cked, because I changed settings. I know there's a "restore factory defaults" page among the Linksys online setup and configuration pages. But how do I get to that if I can't get online at all? Is there another way to reset everything?

(Sorry for my typical long-windedness)

There should be a Reset button on the back of the unit. Press and hold that for about 10 seconds.

I CANNOT BELIEVE it was really that easy. I also can't believe I never saw that damn button before. Thanks. Worked like a charm the first time.
