I'm running 10.2 and I'm sort of reconfiguring my network (adding a print server) so I decided to open up Network Utility and see if i has any uses, which it does, don't get me wrong, but then I see under Transfer Statistics it says "Receive Errors:some god forsakenly high #" what is going on? It says this on all 3 of the comps on the network. I haven't noticed any slow downs and I can stream DVDs from computer to computer, I just don't get it! HELP,thanks, indigo
See what I'm talking about :?

Something is causing a large number of retransmissions to your computer. There are several suspects in this sort of case. Since you don't mention anything else about your network, I can only say "it depends on what you have and how it's set up."
For example, one reason for a high receive error rate is that your computer's network card is not set up properly. The MTU can be set wrong for your connection, or the RWIN setting could be wrong. Both can cause errors, but a bad MTU setting usually degrades network speeds.
Provide more information, and I can be more specific.

OK I have 3 macs on the network 2 iBooks and an iMac all running 10.2 and they all have the same high number. All of these are connected to a D-Link wireless router, they are all wired to it. Now one thing that might be causing the problem is that I don't have broadband going into the router(just using it for LAN), instead I have each computer connect to dial-up on its own so the router is probably trying to find the inter net and screwing up because it doesn't find it. I hope this helps!
EDIT::
In the router log it also shows what I have put below, is this simply the router trying to get online??
