Hi,
I am on the lookout for a cheap Gigabit Network Card (Adapter) that can be run on a G4 with 10.3.8
I have bought a d-link on a DGE-528T but it does not work!!!!
and the drivers are not being loaded according to the Extension panel in the system profiler.

Anyone with experience or advice on this???

cheers!

You need to make sure that the Gigabit Ethernet card can work in a 32-bit PCI slot. I don't think the G4 AGP has a 64-bit PCI slot. Since they are different voltages, a Gigabit ethernet card that's made for 64-bit PCI will not work in a 32-bit PCI unless it was designed to be back-voltage (?) compatible.

You wanted this one: D-Link DGE-550T 32/64

I don't know. Generally if there's a driver for 10.x, it'll work in 10.3. But that's not a given. Your best bet is to email or call them and ask.
