Hi all,

Where would be able to find some sort of a definitive guide for the Airport Express base station?

I know there is a setting for keeping logs in the Airport Admin utility, but I have no idea how i can pull down the logs or have them sent to me via email or something. So if there's anyone who would know how to do just that, I would very much appreciate any help on this.

Thank you.

The Airports don't actually have anywhere to put logs, so the don't store them. Rather, they can be set to broadcast them so that another computer running syslog (such as any MacOS X computer) can be set to receive them.

So there are two things you need to do: go into the Airport Admin tool, start configuring the Airport, click on "Basestaion options", go to Logging/NTP, check the "Send base Station Logging to:" box, and fill in the IP address for the computer that is going to receive the messages.

Then you need to follow the instructions on the fist half of this hint over at MacOS X Hints.
