I am trying to make changes to an existing network.

I my ultimate goal here is to set the network up, so I can remote manage both our G4 server and our Windows 2003 server.

I send a request from home via the Internet to my works IP address, then the router forwards the request based on the port to ether the G4 server or the windows server.

Here is a picture of the topography I designed

What exactly is the whole mess to the right? Normally it's:

[internet] -> [modem] -> [router] -> [switches] -> [client machines]

Yours looks like you've got two networks: the internet and one network on the left of the G4 and PC, and a private network to the right.
